As became clear when we discussed opioids and alcohol during pregnancy, many young women struggling with substance use in pregnancy are polysubstance users. This becomes especially apparent when we look at marijuana use in young women and pregnancy.
For pregnant women or women who might become pregnant, an increase in marijuana use can be especially problematic.
